Elisha Cuthbert’s ex Sean Avery has apologised for a sexual slur he made about the 24 star to her new boyfriend.

The ice hockey player’s offensive remarks to Calgary Flames’s Dion Phaneuf in a pre-game interview resulted in an indefinite NHL suspension.

“I should not have made those comments and I recognise that they were inappropriate. It was a bad attempt to build excitement for the game, but I am now acutely aware of how hurtful my actions were.”

Making rude remarks and apologizing the next day, haha, what is he thinking! Hopefully his apology doesn’t make it up with NHL and Elisha.

The commissioner said, “Playing in the National Hockey League is a privilege, requiring a high standard of personal behaviour. Mr. Avery forfeits that privilege for six games.

“Mr. Avery has expressed remorse for his recent comments and has sought a professional anger management evaluation. I will require that he follow through with that process as a condition of his returning to the ice, and that he complies with any and all recommendations.”

Hopefully he’ll learn from it. Thank you commissioner

Actress Elisha Cuthbert’s ex-boyfriend Sean Avery has been fired from his ice hockey team, because of lewd comments he made about the star during a televised interview.

Avery was initially suspended for six games, after he referred to Cuthbert as “my sloppy seconds” as he poked fun at ice rival Dion Phaneuf, who is currently dating the actress.

Now Dallas Stars bosses have cancelled his contract, revealing in a statement, “All parties said there is a clear understanding that a return to the Stars is not in the best interest of either the hockey club or Avery.”

The NHL has suspended Dallas Stars forward Sean Avery indefinitely, pending a hearing with commissioner Gary Bettman.

Avery missed Tuesday’s game against the Calgary Flames.

The Stars’ super-pest is being suspended for disparaging remarks he made this morning in reference to Flames defenceman Dion Phaneuf and Phaneuf’s girlfriend, actress Elisha Cuthbert, who previously had a relationship with Avery.

“I am really happy to be back in Calgary, I love Canada,” Avery said on camera this morning in Calgary. “I just want to comment on how it’s become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don’t know what that’s about. Enjoy the game tonight.”
